There are 5 elements hidden in the shadows of every healthcare encounter that directly, and significantly, influence your well-being:

  1. The depth and expanse of your self awareness and self understanding

  2. Your worldview of the nature of medicine - what constitutes “medicine” to you - and your belief in healing potentiality

  3. The relationship as a partnership between yourself and your medical practitioners (in any field of care and healing)

  4. The worldview and toolkit of your practitioners of choice (what “medicine” do the believe in and use / prescribe)

  5. Your actions or in-actions…. sometimes not acting is potent medicine

Reflect on that list. You have control - agency - over every element! You have power. You may just need a road map to navigate your choices and actions.

That’s where Well-being Stewardship comes in.

Well-being Stewardship exists to equip you with pathways - road maps - to bring these shadow influences into the light, so you have agency to maximize your inherent well-being by aligning your worldview and decisions in ways that cultivate healing and well-being.

Empowered with fresh pathways, you have agency to make two shifts:

1.You shift from being in the passive “patient” to being the alchemist of your life!

2. You shift from being attached to the dominant paradigm of pathogenesis (western medicine controlling and attacking symptoms of disease) to salutogenesis - creating health - by proactively minimizing and preventing root causes of what inhibits well-being and strengthening the foundations for resilience).

A disease-based system does not empower you to cultivate well-being and heal.

Just as being against war does not create peace, disease avoidance - or symptom maintenance - does not create resilience and well-being.

Only two things are needed to cultivate well-being

  1. Change the role

    Stop being a patient, and bring out your inner Alchemist instead. Alchemy is the science and art of combining different elements to create something precious. What is more precious than your experience of wholeness, healing, harmony, vitality and resilience?

  2. Transform the goal

    Make well-being, resilience and vibrant living your goal. Ditch focusing on symptom suppression or disease management. Embark on a different path for choice - choosing life affirming medical sciences and a new range of time tested medicinary tools outside of chemical pharmaceuticals.
