Ayurveda expertise by Meghana Thanki, ND

Meghana.jpg

Dr. Meghana Thanki is a Naturopathic Doctor Scottsdale, Arizona who specializes in Ayurvedic medicine. She is a wife, mother, physician, yoga teacher, vipassana meditator, writer, and traveller. Her approach consists in the deep wisdom and tradition of Ayurveda, which addresses both the symptoms and the underlying causes of sickness and disease. Dr. Thanki eats, breathes, and lives in the authenticity of ayurvedic medicine. Her deep understanding of ayurvedic principles informs the journey of discovery that she shepherds her patients through.

Dr. Thanki is a huge believer in introducing any component in the natural health world that eventually becomes second nature and part of a self care routine. This includes vitamin shots for quick energy, therapeutic massages to balance our hectic lives, or yearly detoxification to purge accumulated toxins. Patients begin to understand the importance of habitual practices.

Dr. Thanki recently published The Ayurvedic Lens. The book is a compilation of stories, patient case studies, educational material, and an account of close personal relationships viewed through the lens of the world’s oldest system of healing—Ayurveda. Ayur means life, and Veda means science. Together, these translate into the science of life. It is through the principles of Ayurveda, that one can begin to understand how we function, how we show up in the world, and what makes us tick.

Inspiring supporters of Well-being Stewardship

Bright Future Now and The Context Institute, Robert Gilman

Context Institute is an independent non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization, founded in 1979 by Robert and Diane Gilman, devoted to helping all of us create the best possible 21st century we can — for each of us, for our communities, and for all of life. We are one of a handful of organizations that have focused on sustainability as a central theme for more than 35 years, and we are internationally recognized as an authority in this area.

Central to our approach is our sense that the world is now going through a process of cultural change that is as profound as the shift, over 5000 years ago, out of hunting and gathering and into agriculture and cities. We refer to that previous shift as going from the Tribal Era to the Empire Era. We see ourselves as now in the transition between the Empire Era and the Planetary Era.
